A Ski-Lift Tram for the National Zoo?

Map It:  Woodley Park

YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT. According to The Post's Michael E. Ruane, a ski lift-style tram is a possible — and National Zoo officials stress possible — addition in the coming years.

A master plan for the zoo has been released, which contains a number of potential improvements. And allowing tourists to sail high above exhibits would eliminate the need for tired, sweaty visitors to hoof it up the steep Olmsted Walk from the gate at Rock Creek Park and to the main entrance on Connecticut Avenue — an elevation change that's the equivalent of plodding 16 stories.
