Video: Dupont's High-Heel Race Isn't a Drag

REVELERS DRESSED in costumes that ranged from celebrities — Princess Diana, Condoleezza Rice and Sen. Larry Craig, among others — to Metro stations to plain ol' drag strutted their stuff last night at the High-Heel Race in Dupont. Even Mayor Adrian Fenty — the real thing, not a doppelganger — made an appearance.

From our vantage point on a packed 17th Street NW, we saw quite a few, um, interesting sights, including a guy showing off his nearly-bare derriere in a Moulin Rouge-ish costume and another gent who nearly lost his pants doing some sort of acrobatics. Never a dull moment.

Videographer Brian Long was there, too, and caught the snippets above for washingtonpost.com. If you missed the hoopla, be sure to take a gander.
