Styles: Sweet Tooth For Good

Product ShotMOVE OVER, AL GORE. CakeLove owner Warren Brown has a much sweeter way of saving polar bears: by eating them. Wait, wait. Before you get all uppity, we're talking about snacking on cookies, not actual endangered life-forms. He's partnered with Oceana to create the Eat a Cookie, Save the Oceans holiday gift.

Flipper-lovers can log onto Oceana.org/adopt to donate money to the group’s marine conservation efforts. Donating $35 gets you a cookie cutter of your choice (from seagulls to seals) and a sugar cookie recipe by Brown. Giving $250 begets the recipe, 16 cutters and an oven mitt.

  • Oceana is a science-based non-profit organization, the largest in the world in fact, that focuses solely on ocean issues. What's more, Oceana generates results. Pertinent issues -- ranging from pollution and seafood contamination to destructive bottom trawling and over-fishing subsidies -- are attacked from all sides only after the organization has established specific and concrete goals to improve the situation. Not every non-profit can say they do that. The oceans are in dire straights, and Oceana is our best hope for turning the tide. Learn more:HERE
