B.I.O.: Come Fly With Me
WHEN ANDREW BORENE found himself sandwiched between two fellow passengers on a flight from Minneapolis to D.C., he looked for a less-cramped seat. Not only did he find a better spot, but he also found love across the aisle. "As I was sitting down," he recalls, "I caught a glimpse of the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen." Bethany Cowley was just as entranced: "I thought he was really smart and charming," she says. By the flight's end, they had exchanged digits.
Since Andrew was in town for a job interview and was leaving the next day, their courtship was sped up. They met that evening in the Willard InterContinental hotel's lobby, and Bethany gave him a tour of the National Mall the next day. "We spent the rest of the day holding hands," says Andrew.
He got the job and moved to D.C. in November. They've been together ever since. In January, Andrew popped the question at the Jefferson Memorial. They'll wed May 31 in Jefferson City, Mo.
Andrew, 32, is an attorney. Bethany, 22, is a sales manager. They live in Alexandria.
